Blog Post #6 - Calculus

Mistake -
After finding our finishing the math and finding our final answer, my partner and I found out, after my partner double checked our math, he found out we messed up in the very beginning and it turns out we didn't see the minus in a part of our equation which turned our whole equation around.

Learn -
I learned and well more so we (partner and I) learned that in the beginning we need to double check our steps.

Grow -
I think I grew with having an open mind set knowing that the math I learned in one week is something seniors learn in a month. Knowing that I knew that this math I was and still am learning is very difficult and I still want to learn it.

Blog #5 - Integrals

Mistake - I forgot to bring the integral down with equation, over and over again.

Learn -  I reviewed the steps on how to solve integrals and had my partner double check my work.

Growth - I took the equation step by step and didn't try to rush the process and my learning style.

Blog #4 - Planets

While working on Problem Set 9 - Volume of Planets I started a day late and so when I was trying to get caught up with everyone else, I started to get confused and frustrated. I made the mistake of falling behind but I was able to get ahead and turn in my work a day early by working with my friend who also was confused. I learned to start my work ahead of time so I can grow later on throughout the year with procrastination,.

Blog #3 - Snakes on a Plane

I made the mistake on these worksheets by having a close mindset and not trying to write equations, because I don't understand how to create my own. I learned that having a closed mindset throughout the year will not help me grow as a responsible student.

Growing in a Partnership

Did you learn something through learning process mistakes, learn, and grow?
This week I learned while working in groups it can be important to have one person making decisions and facilitating because if nobody is assigning anything in a group you won't get work done. Because everyone can be confused on what there doing or your group could be messing around.
In the emoji problem we had to assign jobs for everyone, I feel like one of my group members and myself were giving the jobs that people wanted and making sure everyone was on task. We made mistakes in the groups by not following some of the guidelines but once we got critique we learned what we guidelines we needed to add and what we needed to fix we did that, and our mini project wasn't amazing but I was able to see the growth from our first draft to our final draft.

First Week of High School

For my first week of high school math, I would say it went pretty well. On the first day we learned about Adam and played games to get to know him.
On the second we got the opportunity to learn Arabic. I want to point out how difficult it was, considering it is one of the hardest languages in the world. I made a lot of mistakes for example I didn't know that in Arabic it's goes left to right which is the opposite of English but I was also able to learn from my mistakes. We also played a name game so we could see our growth and improvement.

This week we learned about being open minded and having a growth mindset about learning new things. I was given the opportunity to meet new people and learn new things.
